Mustard
Glucan 301:
Mustard Glucan 301 is a natural water based polysaccharide
that exhibits shear
thinning flow behaviour and a weak gel-like structure. This unique product can
be used the same way as any chemically engineered synthetic gum and can provide
notable emulsifying capacity and superior suspension ability to cosmetic
formulations. Mustard Glucan 301 can interact synergistically with a
number of polysaccharides such as locust bean, guar, xanthan, agar and
carrageenan gums resulting in viscosity increases or gel formation. This
allows for the product to be used alone as a thickener or in conjunction with
other gums which ultimately leads to new product concepts.
