Chia seed is filled with two times more protein than most grains, and contains up to five times more calcium than milk. Additionally, it contains high levels of omega-3 and omega-6 fatty acids, soluble fibre, potassium, and antioxidants.
Chia seeds can be added to baked goods, breads, porridges, smoothies, salads and sandwiches, and can be ground and added to water or milk.
